Congratulations on your new puppy! This course is designed to help you and your puppy lay the foundation for future obedience, recognize what healthy play between dogs looks like, and begin the important work of socialization for long-term behavioral health. We'll also cover essential puppy-rearing tips and tricks to ensure your pup is set up for a lifetime of success. 

Each week, class will be divided into three 15-minute sections:

• Warm Up: Settling in, calming down, & cultivating attention to handler

• Skill Development: Develop sit, down, loose leash walking, etc.

• Playtime: Party with friends!

Our topics include:

• Attention to handler

• Dealing with distractions

• Beginner recall

• Sit & down

• Polite greetings

• Leash walking foundations

• Socialization

• Crate training 

• Potty training & more!

Please bring:

• 4-6 foot leash (no retractable leashes, please!)

• Martingale, flat collar, or harness (harness preferred)

• Treat pouch and high value treats (more than you think you’ll need)

• Mat or towel for puppy to lay on

Requirements:

• Dog must be 6 months of age or younger

• Dog must be current on vaccinations

• If your puppy displays reactivity or moderate to severe fear during classes, we will transition you to private lessons to better support your puppy’s learning and skill development
